1ST YEAR CANDIDATES:
Once the online application has been completed, a photocopy of the child’s most recent assessment form should be sent to secretaria@evora.salesianos.pt. (Only those who have not attended pre-school are exempt).
2ND TO 12TH GRADE CANDIDATES:
Once the online application has been made, a photocopy of the child’s latest assessment form should be sent to secretaria@evora.salesianos.pt.
The application requires payment of €100 by bank transfer to IBAN PT50 0033 0000 4542 5868 9200 5, proof of which should be sent to secretaria@evora.salesianos.pt.
This amount will be deducted from the tuition fee or refunded if there is no vacancy for the candidate. If you withdraw your application, this amount will not be refunded. Incomplete applications will not be accepted. Applications submitted after the deadline are subject to remaining vacancies.
Personal contact with the candidate and the parents or guardian
STARTING JANUARY 13TH
The interview will be scheduled at the time of application and consists of an interview with the Pedagogical Director (except for candidates who are siblings of current students); activities with the Educational Psychologist; a visit to the school with a member of the Board of Directors. The interview must be attended by the parents or guardian and the candidate (except for nursery candidates).
STARTING MARCH 17TH
The admission criteria are based on a score awarded according to the information gathered in the interview with the parents or guardians, the performance in the activities carried out with the educational psychologist and a bonus in the following situations:
ACCEPTANCE TO THE SCHOOL WILL BE NOTIFIED BY TELEPHONE
Applicants who remain on hold will be informed by telephone. The dates of communication will depend on the year for which the student is applying:
Nursery, Kindergarten and 1st year of the 1st Cycle – From March 24th.
Other years – From May 11th.
NOTE: For organizational and management reasons, the school is solely responsible for this communication.
The Salesian School favors family unity in the school and educational environment, also considering young people who live in the same house as siblings. Parents and guardians should be aware of the importance of their participation in school life and in holding the candidate accountable for accepting the Salesian Educational Proposal.
The candidate and his/her guardian must have attitudes and principles that are in line with the Salesian Educational Proposal. To become a pupil, the candidate must, according to the requirements of his/her age:
Enrolment, subject to payment, must be made online, within the time limit set for this purpose, after telephone communication, safeguarding the case of children who have not yet been born. After this deadline, the place will automatically be available for another candidate. Payment should be made to IBAN PT50 0033 0000 4542 5868 9200 5.
The annual payment consists of tuition (equal to the monthly fee) and eleven monthly fees, from September to July, for nursery and pre-school, and tuition and ten monthly fees, from September to June, for primary and secondary education. Parents who choose to pay by direct debit will receive a 1.5% reduction. This form of payment is compulsory for those who wish to benefit from a discount approved by the administration for social reasons.
The annual payment can be made at the time of registration as follows:
1ST METHOD (2.5% DISCOUNT)
This consists of 10 monthly payments, from September to June, for primary and secondary education and 11 monthly payments, from September to July, for nursery and pre-school.
Under this option, 2.5% of the annual fee will be credited to the current account, which can be used to pay for other services from September onwards, except for topping up the student card.
2ND OPTION (2% DISCOUNT)
This consists of 10 monthly payments, from September to June, for primary and secondary schools and 11 monthly payments, from September to July, for nursery and pre-school.
In this modality, an immediate 2% discount will be made on the total amount of the monthly fees.
In both the 1st and 2nd options, you will have to make monthly payments for other current expenses by the 8th of each month.
Tuition fees are not refunded.
